The Treasure of the Sierra Madre:
A true classic. Scenes in this movie strongly reminded me of ‘Wages of Fear‘. I suppose being only 5 years apart might explain some of that.
The movie is about a couple of not particularly smart homeless guys in what I assume is Tampico, Mexico.
They get an idea that prospecting for gold might be something they can do to get themselves out of their poverty.
It’s just a very good film, done very well. A review I read on IMDB said that Humphrey Bogart’s acting looked forced, but, I am not too sure about that myself. It was also good to see him in a non Sam Spade character setting!
I give it 8/10.
