The Day the Earth Stood Still:
I have to say. I assumed this film would be incredibly cheesy, and difficult to watch – it being an old sci-fi, and black and white.
However, I thought this film was incredibly well done. Fairly realistic – I’m not going to comment on the space ship flying, that part was a bit weird looking, but, even when the space ship had landed, it actually looked very good.
The story seemed a little poor. If he really had a message for the whole world, couldn’t he have got his message out some other way, with all the technology that was available?
That really was a minor point though (oddly). 1950s America was interesting to see in the film too.
I give it 9/10
