Movie: 3:10 to Yuma (2007)

3:10 to Yuma:

One thing amused me about this film – the lead parts were played by an Englishman (Christian Bale) and a NZ/Australian man (Russell Crowe) in an American wild west film.

Christian Bale’s character is a rancher, who is rather poor, and is being pushed off his land. He comes across an opportunity to help transport an outlaw (Crowe) for a large sum of money.

The film ends up being a bit of a drama between the two lead characters. It was good, but, I couldn’t really figure out why Crowe’s character would leave Bale alone. He seemed too hard to be that kind of man – especially as early on in the film you can see how ruthless he can be.

However, I generally enjoyed this film, and if you like wild west films, you’ll probably enjoy it.

I give it 7/10
