First things first, if Clint Eastwood is meant to be the man with no name, then why does he have a name?
I’m not a western connoisseur, but, I enjoyed this movie. I also think that’s the first time I’ve ever written ‘connoisseur’, and I appear to have spelt it correctly. It was in the top 250, hence why I watched it. Even though Eastwood’s character is stereotypical of the era, it’s still very enjoyable.
I generally liked this film, and Lee Van Cleef as a good guy was nice to see too. Next to watch is the first in the series (which is not top 250) – Fistful of Dollars – I seem to be doing it totally out of order, as I saw The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly first.
I give it 7/10 – I think there are better Westerns out there, but this one is definitely a good one.
