Book: The System of the World
This book has taken me an age to finish, I’ve read other books in between starting it about a year or so ago.
It’s the last in the Baroque Cycle. A series I started reading in 2003 or 2004.
I feel like it’s an accomplishment finishing these books – I did enjoy them, but, they were complicated! I will admit to not understanding chunks of the ingenious plans, and I kind of just had to leave those sections after a while, and roll with it.
IÂ did like the historical aspects of it, and how parts were merged with the actual reality of the time, and obviously, the parts that weren’t. As my history is pretty crap, I’m not sure what was real, and what wasn’t!
I’m not going to rate books, as I don’t need to. 🙂
