I think I’ve been desensitized – I was warned that this was quite a violent movie, and rather gruesome in parts.
It really is a very odd film – a man is locked up for 15 years, and has no idea why. He is then released, and is out for vengeance on whoever it was that imprisoned him.
A unique story (to me at least), I wasn’t really expecting the story to turn out the way it did. I enjoyed this movie a lot – I’ve not seen many Korean films, but, the ones I have seen, I’ve enjoyed.
The only thing I didn’t follow was why some of the characters didn’t really seem as old as I expected them to be, if the man had been imprisoned for 15 years…
I give it 9/10
