Pitch Black: A kind of futuristic action/horror film. The film starts with a cargo space ship on auto pilot with the crew in stasis that hits some difficulties and wakes up the crew early. The ship crash lands on an alien planet which seems to have no night. Riddick is a criminal of some sort, […]

Film: Felon (2008)
Felon: A film about a guy who is in a maximum security prison after killing an intruder in his home. It seemed quite slow at first, but was very well done, I think. I give it 8/10
Film: Man on Wire (2008)
Man on Wire: This was a spectacular documentary on Philippe Petit’s tightrope walk between the two World Trade Centre buildings. It’s well worth watching, as well as the interview with Philippe if you have it on the DVD or Blu-ray. I give it 9/10
Film: Zombieland (2009)
Zombieland: A good action comedy film. I especially loved the rules that the main character used to stay alive, and the video game like action. Extremely gruesome in parts too. I give it 8/10
Film: Lakeview Terrace (2008)
Lakeview Terrace: A really weird film. Basically a single dad cop, who has custody of his children most of the time (or so it appears) has some new neighbours move in next door. However, they are mixed race, and that bothers this cop. He ends up turning their life into hell, blah blah. It was […]
Film: Eagle Eye (2008)
Eagle Eye: A pretty silly action/thriller flick. The US uses an all powerful computer to do intelligence stuff, it can hook into phones, cctv, etc. It amuses me how computers look so fancy in films – but, then, if they looked boring, the film would probably end up being boring too. Stuff blows up, people […]
Film: Righteous Kill (2008)
Righteous Kill: A thriller, in which the film constantly tries to mislead you into thinking the wrong way, which frustrates me. I didn’t think the story was all that good either. It’s not really worth watching, even though the acting is good, just the story is a bit pants. I give it 3/10
Film: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford: This seems to be a very odd film – it goes in the category of people’s fascination for criminals, which I’ll never really understand. It was very slow, and the Robert Ford character was very difficult to understand. I give it 4/10
Film: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: A film about a man who ages backwards. Very odd concept, but, I thought it was great. Not quite sure what the clockmaker had to do with anything though! I give it 8/10
Film: Wyatt Earp (1994)
Wyatt Earp: An epic saga about a real life ‘wild west hero’, Wyatt Earp. An interesting story, kept me interested most of the way through, and it was a very long film. However, I didn’t completely follow what was happening in Tombstone. I give it 7/10
