Documentary: Religulous (2008)

Religulous:

I think I misunderstood the synopsis on Lovefilm when I read it. It said something about Bill Maher’s commitment to never pulling a punch – which I understood to mean ‘doesn’t go for low blows, or insulting ones’.

However, this documentary is rather crude (a friends described it that way, and I think it fits).

Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t got a problem with that, it just wasn’t what I expected. You could tell quite easily that parts of the documentary had been edited for effect as well – I don’t think they were hiding that though.

I found the people associated with the Vatican oddly being the more sensible people…

The muslims in this documentary were supremely depressing ‘Oh no no, you’ve got it all wrong’.

I give it 8/10
