A kind of futuristic action/horror film. The film starts with a cargo space ship on auto pilot with the crew in stasis that hits some difficulties and wakes up the crew early.
The ship crash lands on an alien planet which seems to have no night. Riddick is a criminal of some sort, but ends up being a kind of hero in the movie.
