I didn’t realise this was a British film until after the first bit of speech in the film. A train station was the central point of the story – it was where the two main characters in the story met. What was interesting was that the carriages were the same as the ones that have only recently been phased out of service on some of the lines that I used to travel on to work!
This film was a good look at emotions, and chance, and how something that you didn’t necessarily want to happen, happened.
The acting looked a bit wooden at times to me, but, that might actually have been intentional – being British, and it being an affair!
I enjoyed this film, perhaps more so because of the historical view of an English town, train station, and people. I thoroughly enjoyed the story too.
I give it 9/10
