I’m still impressed with how Charlie Chaplin wrote, directed, starred, and composed the music for this film (and for many others that he made).
I didn’t enjoy this movie as much as Modern times – it’s a different kind of humour though, it is not as much out and out slapstick humour as in Modern Times. The gags in this one seemed a bit too predictable most of the times too, and not his best.
I give it 6/10.
