One from my ‘pure entertainment’ list. It was… entertaining. I did not realise this was a remake of a 1965 film of the same name. I thought the idea was good. The humour in the film was good, the desert scenery was good, the special effects good. But the story seemed a little poor, the captains character in particular didn’t quite seem to fit.
It’s not really worth wasting the time on it, I think.
