I had heard that this film was bad, and it has a relatively low score on IMDB (6.6 at time of writing), which, for a superhero film, seems kind of low to me.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting – it wasn’t a superhero film in the normal sense. Apart from perhaps the superhero finding himself, and getting an identity (superman, perhaps?).
The film also had great touches, in that as he really didn’t care about what he did, he didn’t care what destruction he caused, as long as he got the job done. Taking off had a kind of kinetic force on the ground around him too.
The ending, however, felt a bit empty in this film…
