A western, though that’s probably obvious from the title.
I thought this film was a bit slow in places – I really do seem to want things to happen now, in films. I think this list is getting to me. I am getting to the bottom of the top 250 though, but, that really shouldn’t be any reason.
Anyway, a US Marshal (who is going to be relieved of his duty the next day) is told that a criminal is coming back to the town on the noon train, and it appears it’s something personal, and trouble is expected. Throughout the movie, he opposes all the advice given to him to just go and start his new life with his wife – who he has married just that day.
So, you follow the Marshal, and a few other characters during the few hours on this Sunday morning, until the climax.
