Movie: Run Lola Run (1998)

Run Lola Run:

At the start of this film, I just wanted the conversation with the boyfriend to be over. He was just too thick – the kind of character that I would normally expect in a horror film, not this kind of film. It’s Lola’s fault that this happened, because she had her scooter stolen.
The premise of the film is that the boyfriend is an idiot, he’s lost 100,000 Deutsche Marks, and he’s got 20 minutes to find it, or the person who the money belongs to will kill him. At this stage in the story, I couldn’t have cared less if he was killed.
Then, Lola makes a plan, she will go to her father, and get the money that way. As she no longer has transport, she runs – just like the title says.
This is when things get interesting – and where I stop commenting on the story.

This really wasn’t quite what I had expected – not that I’m sure what I was really expecting. The film has a good bit of humour, and suspense.

The snapshots into peoples future was an amusing touch, odd though it was.

I give it 7/10.
