This film seemed very very similar to Yojimbo, which I enjoyed, so it’s a good thing. It has the same lead actor in it – Toshiro Mifune.
It’s about a bunch of men in a clan, and a samurai, who decides to help them out, and save someone, for reasons that aren’t really made clear, but we know it’s because he’s a ‘good guy’.
Anyway, mostly the film is about the clan men, and the samurai trying to outwit the other side, who have more resources.
The clansmen often bicker amongst themselves, and also not all of them trust the samurai, causing problems for him.
I will end with… I don’t understand how some people who got sliced were dead, and then not even injured…
