I must be missing something fundamental in this film – I thought it was badly acted, or at least, badly directed for the actors, and not really very interesting either.
The story is a bunch of friends go out on a trip to find the body of a boy who has gone missing.
I just couldn’t get past how unrealistic the relationships with the boys were. I mean, I’m sorry, but, boys don’t hold another boy by the shoulders when they’re crying, or are constantly that touchy feely – it just seemed very false.
I think the film was good in the way it described how families are different, and broken in their own special ways, but, it really wasn’t anything special to me.
I really think there are far better films on the IMDB top 250 than this one. I also enjoy reading Stephen King novels, so I’m not really against the story either.
I give it 5/10
