The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance:
To me, this will always be a song that Burt Bacharach wrote. As I heard it long before I knew there was a film with the same name.
Anyway, I think James Stewart is becoming a bit of a favourite actor with me, even though he was a bit wimpy in this film, and I thought the acting was a bit odd too.
The story, however was very enjoyable. The film was told in one long flashback, with both the main male actors (James Stewart and John Wayne) playing characters that were much younger than they actually were in real life.
It’s not the best film in the world, but, I really enjoyed it. It is, right now, not in the top 250, but, it is in my snapshot.
I give it 7/10
