The first film I’ve seen in the cinema since The Dark Knight. And it was good.
I do think that people who have not read the book might be rather confused with this film – if they’re expecting real superheroes and stuff, perhaps. Obviously, there is one real superhero, but even though he is (was?) human, he seems very distant from humanity now.
It’s very close to the film, though the fight scene in the jail is rather Hollywoodish which spoils it a little. And Adrian Veidt does also seem superhuman too, and it’s not explained why/how, as in the novel.
And, Rorsharch is excellent. 🙂
I give it 8/10.
