Into the Blue: A pretty general Hollywood film. About a bunch of poor divers who come across a potentially wealthy wreck, but also find a plane that’s recently crashed with a massive load of drugs that’s mostly intact. There’s no real story to speak of. I give it 3/10.

Film: Sherlock Holmes (2009)
Sherlock Holmes: A kind of odd re-imagining of Sherlock Holmes by Guy Ritchie – where he is a drunk, and a martial arts expert, along with Dr. Watson. The story did keep things a little intriguing, but it wasn’t that good – it was just a bit of a fun blockbuster. However, Moriarty made a […]
Film: The Ox-Bow Incident (1943)
The Ox-Bow Incident: This film starts fairly early on with the news that a local farmer has been murdered and his cattle stolen. The local town are up in arms and are wanting revenge straight away – however, the sheriff is currently a few days away, so a posse is formed – possibly illegally. They […]
Film: Felon (2008)
Felon: A film about a guy who is in a maximum security prison after killing an intruder in his home. It seemed quite slow at first, but was very well done, I think. I give it 8/10
Film: Lakeview Terrace (2008)
Lakeview Terrace: A really weird film. Basically a single dad cop, who has custody of his children most of the time (or so it appears) has some new neighbours move in next door. However, they are mixed race, and that bothers this cop. He ends up turning their life into hell, blah blah. It was […]
Film: Righteous Kill (2008)
Righteous Kill: A thriller, in which the film constantly tries to mislead you into thinking the wrong way, which frustrates me. I didn’t think the story was all that good either. It’s not really worth watching, even though the acting is good, just the story is a bit pants. I give it 3/10
Film: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford: This seems to be a very odd film – it goes in the category of people’s fascination for criminals, which I’ll never really understand. It was very slow, and the Robert Ford character was very difficult to understand. I give it 4/10
Film: Starsky and Hutch (2004)
Starsky and Hutch: A very silly comedy based on the Starsky and Hutch characters – I don’t remember watching the series as a kid, so am not sure if the original was as silly as the film remake. I give it 6/10
Film: Gangs of New York (2002)
Gangs of New York: I thought this was only a little over average, this film. Great acting, but, I just didn’t think the story was all that interesting. Lots of stuff about honour among criminals. Apparently it’s based on a nonfiction book called by the same name, written in 1928. I give it 6/10
Film: Shoot ‘Em Up (2008)
Shoot ‘Em Up: A film that seems to have been based on a failed video game story. Or, perhaps, a video game that’s based on a failed movie. Whatever. It’s full of violence, and silliness. It’s oddly amusing. I give it 6/10
