Phone Booth: A waste of time. The acting was actually pretty good, but the story. Oh my goodness. I give it 2/10.

Film: Shoot ‘Em Up (2008)
Shoot ‘Em Up: A film that seems to have been based on a failed video game story. Or, perhaps, a video game that’s based on a failed movie. Whatever. It’s full of violence, and silliness. It’s oddly amusing. I give it 6/10
Film: Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Punisher: War Zone: Just a mindless violent film. Potential was there for it to be better, but, really, it was just violence through and through. Fairly fun to watch. It’s about an ex special forces police guy who has his family killed by the Mafia, but, he survives. He turns into ‘The Punisher’ and lives […]
Film: Paycheck (2003)
Paycheck: A fairly odd premise – a smart guy works for companies, and then has his memory erased of what he did for them. One of the companies he works for, sets him up, and he ends up having to run away, with only a small bunch of items to help him. It’s almost like […]
Film: The Bank Job (2008)
The Bank Job: I thought this film was very engaging – it’s about a real bank robbery (Baker Street Robbery) that happened in London in 1970, which apparently made the press at the time for a few days, and then was hushed up. According to wikipedia, that’s not strictly true – The Times did report […]
Film: Death Race (2008)
Death Race: An action movie, involving cars, and death. It’s set in the near future, in a world where crime is really high, and corporations run the prison system in the US. With one prison doing races with cars that have weapons, and killing other drivers is within the rules – in fact, it’s all […]
Film: Changeling (2008)
Changeling: I watched this on recommendation from a friend. It’s about a single mother, who has a son. One day, she goes to work, and comes back home, and he’s not there. There’s a bit of a spoiler here, but, not much – apparently, in reality, she gave her son a dime, to go watch […]
Movie: Infernal Affairs (2002)
Infernal Affairs: This is the Hong Kong movie that The Departed was based upon. It is very similar, as it is pretty much exactly the same plot. The Hollywood version did feel a little more polished, though Infernal Affairs was excellent in its own right. If you’re a fan of The Departed, it’s definitely worth […]
Movie: M (1931)
M: A film about a child murderer in Berlin, who terrorises the city, and causes the police to look anywhere and everywhere in an attempt to find a clue to the murderers identity. This causes a knock on effect for criminals who are targeted more, and even the general population, where any contact with a […]
Movie(s): The Boys from Brazil (1978), Chinatown (1974)
The Boys from Brazil: Lots of German accents in this movie. The movie starts off with a Jewish kid investigating a neo-nazi group in Paraguay. It’s all going fairly slowly until he uncovers a plot that is being hatched by the group. This movie kept me in suspense for a long part of it, because (to […]
